WHAT WE BELIEVE

SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED

The Scriptures of the entire Bible are inspired by God, are God's method of revealing Himself to mankind, are never wrong, and are our guide for faith, belief, and manner of living (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

THE ONE TRUE GOD, THE TRINITY AND THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST

There is one true God. He has always existed without any outside cause or agent bringing Him into being. He is the Creator of Heaven and earth (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).

The Trinity of the adorable Godhead includes God the Father, Jesus the Son of God and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 11:25-27; 28:19; Luke 1:35; John 1:18; 5:17-37; 8:17-18; 14:15-17; 15:26; 17:11; 17:21; 1 Corinthians 1:24; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 1:3-4).

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and has always existed. He is God with us, fully human and fully God. He lived a sinless life. In order to restore fallen mankind, He died on the cross as a substitute for the sins of every person. He was raised from the dead by the supernatural power of God and is now in Heaven, praying for us. He is exalted for making this sacrifice by the Godhead (Matthew 1:21-23; Luke 1:31; 1:35; John 1:1-2; 1:14; 1:18; 1:29; 1:49; 5:22-23; Acts 2:32-36; Romans 1:1-3; 4:11; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Philippians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:8; 2:22; 3:22; 1 John 2:22-23; 4:1-5; 4:10; 4:14; 5:17-30; Hebrews 1:1-13; 7:3; 7:26; 12:2; 2 John 1:3; Revelation 1:13; 1:17; 5:6-14; 4:8-11; 7:9-10).

Salvation is deliverance from spiritual death and habits cause by sin. God provides salvation for all who believe and accept His free offer of forgiveness. Mankind's only hope of redemption from this sinful state is through the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, which was accomplished when Jesus died on the cross.

THE FALL OF MANKIND

Mankind was created good and upright, but by willful choice, ignored God's instructions and chose to engage in what was wrong and evil. As a result, mankind fell from innocence and goodness and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.

SALVATION

Salvation is deliverance from spiritual death and habits cause by sin. God provides salvation for all who believe and accept His free offer of forgiveness. Mankind's only hope of redemption from this sinful state is through the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, which was accomplished when Jesus died on the cross.

ORDINANCES

We practice two religious sacraments, called ordinances, water baptism by immersion, for new Christians, is how we publicly state to family and friends that we are going to live a Biblically ordered life. Holy Communion, a time for remembering all that Jesus Christ has done for us, is shared at special events.

THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.

THE CHURCH

The Church, as described in the Bible, consists of all people who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as the only remedy for their sins. The Church includes all Christians and has no boundaries as to age, race, or gender.

Our mission as a church is to worship God, lead people into a personal relationship with Him, and grow a group of Christians who model their lives after the life of Jesus Christ.

DIVINE HEALING

Divine healing is an integral part of the Bible and is provided for in Christ's death on the cross. We pray for healing for those who ask for it.

AFTER DEATH

All Christians who have died will immediately go to Heaven. One day, those Christians still living on earth will be "raptured" or "caught up" to meet Jesus Christ and His resurrected followers in the air. Then, Christians of all ages will live with God forever.

There will be a final judgment in which those who have died without accepting Christ's salvation will be raised and judged according to the way they lived. Anyone who has not received Christ's forgiveness for sin, together with the devil and his angels, will be sent to everlasting punishment in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, commonly referred to as "hell." According to the promise of the Bible, we look forward to new heavens and a new earth, where all will follow God's ways forever.
